Welcome to The International Journal of Sleep Disorders, a new quarterly review journal, in print and online, designed to provide evaluated and critical analysis of the most important research within this dynamic field. Sleep complaints have always been commonly voiced in the general population, but increasing attention is being paid to the presenting features and treatments of the major sleep disorders and to the role they play in physical and mental illness. The International Journal of Sleep Disorders has been founded to identify and highlight the important advances in this area, and will focus on the clinical aspects and new developments in our understanding and management of sleep disorders, with an emphasis on insomnia, for an audience of psychiatrists, neurologists, pediatricians, and interested primary care physicians.

Each issue of The International Journal of Sleep Disorders features in-depth review articles discussing current and emerging topics of clinical interest (our "Leading Articles"). We also present an ongoing, systematic review of key articles as selected from the international literature by the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor (our "Clinical Reviews", written by the Editors), alongside reports from the major international meetings.

Please feel free to browse this website. You need to register to access the full content of the journal. Registration is free to healthcare professionals. We hope you enjoy this new journal and find it informative and interesting. We welcome your comments, letters, and ideas for leading articles, case studies, and meeting reports.
